Overview
This piece, commissioned specifically for the expansion, is a new-media installation that makes use of three industrial projectors projecting on a steeply angled wall over an area 68′ x 24′. A working requirement of the artist involved placing the four computers that run the experience over 300′ away in a secure environment. There were a variety of problems to solve in cooperation with the artist — how to extend the video signal well beyond the limitations of the VGA signal, how to distort the image in real-time to fit the unusual perspective of the wall, and how to properly synchronize and overlap the images to create a seamless experience.
