Software is getting better at making 3D images out of 2D. I’d seen a variation of this a few years ago out of Stanford, and MS has been doing research along these lines. Be interesting to take all of those museum paintings of architecture and see how they turn out in 3D. (Or take pictures of our new building and see if the software comes even close) - MS Photosynth
